Understanding precisely refers to the convenience of everyone and, consequently, to the freedom of mutual influence. Since peace, concord, and harmony are our natural interests, and the consequence of understanding this is to share it, to persuade others.

As Mozi says, Universal Love is the Will of Heaven; for the universe is arranged in this way precisely because Heaven is not different from our spirit—it is within our spirit—and there is no difference in the spirit, intellect, reason, or common sense of humans. How then could Heaven, which is the spirit, consent to some doing well while others fare poorly? That is why Heaven itself determines that the condition of our well-being is the well-being of everyone else without exception. And understanding this and helping one another to bring it about are one and the same.
